Glad To Live In A Condo

I love living in a condo. I have to admit that where plants are concerned, I have a terrible track record for killing them, even an innocent “won’t-die” money plant my dad carefully nurtured before passing it to me! DH seems to enjoy plants and gardening but luckily we live in a condo otherwise guess who will have to be in charge of looking after his plants and pets when he’s away! I think I’ve got enough body count on my hands without having to add on to that rising number!

So for now, the only concession he has to a pet are two hardy little fish in an aquarium which my job is just to feed them. He does all the messy cleaning stuff when he’s back. Just the other day, we were at a koi centre and he was just saying how nice it would be to have a koi pond and not for the first time I thanked my lucky stars we’re living in a condo! Imagine the pond supplies and maintenance! No thank you!

Family Time At Home

Its been great having my parents around especially since DH isn’t here. Its nice to have some company and to enjoy some parental pampering. Mom’s been cooking dinners and I haven’t gone grocery shopping for ages! I’ve even forgotten what its like to check things out using a barcode scanner! One thing about being married is having to split time between him, your own family and his and I’m glad to have this time to my own family. Its likely that I’ll be moving down south in a few more months or maybe less if the job offer goes through. So until then, I’ll enjoy the family time I have here!

Loving Technology

I finally got a webcam last night to talk to DH whenever we meet up on Skype. I must say that for couples apart, Skype has to be one of the best inventions to allow video calls for free! I used to be a little sceptical initially about its quality but was blown away when I realised how clear and convenient it was to chat online. It was just like talking over the telephone minus the radiation from your handphone!

Dad generously loaned me his laptop and since it didn’t come with a webcam, I got my brother to pick up one for me when he was in town yesterday. It was a cheap little thing, not some funky high end computer brand such as rackmount or Logitech but as long as it serves its purpose, I don’t really care!

At least now we can finally see each other online! Don’t you love technology? I certainly do!

Anyone For Pole Dancing?

I was watching UK Gladiators last night on TV and was totally amazed by one of the women contenders who had absolutely no belly fat at all!

She works as a vertical pole dancer and they featured her doing some really challenging moves on a vertical pool which included hanging at a 90 degree angle from the pole! Gosh, if pole dancing can give me a 6-pack tummy, I’m willing to give it a try anytime! At least its a lot more entertaining than running on a treadmill!

Anyone up for pole dancing?!
