HomeDH was away recently and whenever he’s away that’s when problems in the house decide to rear its ugly head! My toilet pipe burst which led to my bathroom getting flooded! I came back from a girl’s night out to hear water trickling and in a state of panic, checked my bathroom to find the water spurting merrily out of the pipe that connects the toilet flush to the main water outlet.
Luckily I’m level-headed :p So I turned off the water main and attempted to repair it with a monkey wrench and screwdriver. At about 1am, I think I found the problem which looked like a faulty washer. The next day, I hopped off to the local hardware shop and asked for a washer. Came back, stuffed it in and the water still happily spurted out.

Falling back on Plan No. 2, I called dear ol’ dad who reassuringly told me he’ll take a look at it when he comes next and that it was probably due to a cheap quality connection the management used. Darn, this is what happens when you don’t buy a luxury condo with Kohler fixtures!
So, I’m surviving for the time being till dad comes. Thank goodness for dear dad! Don’t know what I’ll do without him especially when DH isn’t around!
