Attached To The Ring

Its funny how attached I’ve grown to the ring I wear on my third finger (it was too big for my fourth!). It is a simple platinum band without any frills or fancies and definitely nothing like the Tiffany Lucida Eternity ring I was drooling over!
Nevertheless, its simplicity has grown onto me and I was truly stressed when I discovered some scratches on it not long after our wedding. Thankfully, it wasn’t anything a little polishing couldn’t help and thanks to the lifetime service in our little goldsmith’s shop, our rings came back clean and shiny.
I was on a bit of a cleaning bout last weekend and removed the ring as I cleaned, mopped and wiped down plasma mounts. And funnily enough, once the cleaning was done, my hand actually felt pretty bare and light until I put the ring back on again! Funny how it has grown on me. Not being one for jewellery, I never thought it would!
