My Wedding Oscar Speech

THE DAY came and went…and it was a blast!

It was a truly memorable night. A night I wish we had time to stop to take in the details and to chat with our guests and just to enjoy the night the same way they had. Despite some ugly hiccups before that and so much disappointments and stress we faced, it was almost-perfect

And my Oscar list of thank yous are below!

To our guests - A million thanks for being there. Everyone told us what a unique and special wedding dinner it was. My friends called it a perfect night and my colleague told me she could see so much thought was put into making the night a memorable one! It made us so happy to hear that for it meant everyone was having fun which was exactly what we hoped for.

It meant the world to me to see my friends there and to share our joy. These are friends whom have gone out of their way to help me and have enriched my life in ways I never expected! To my special blogger pals - Bee and Rinnah, thanks so much for being there! For my friends overseas (Tine, Dolma, Em, Becs, Joycee) who couldn’t make it back as I so hoped you would, I’ll try to share some photos soon!

To our helpers - You guys were one in a million and the night couldn’t have happened without you! Ed and Susan were perfect MCs, Jo the glue holding the night together, Bel and Jo lovely registration ladies, Helena helping us make the night perfect and Michelle for being around to help. KW for staying up so late to help us with our video and Yvonne for that special performance.

To our families - We were so happy to share the night with you. It meant the world to us to see you there. Pat & Ja - for the sweetest flower girls and beautiful bouquets, Mom & Dad - for being there and for helping me whenever I had my “headless chicken” moments. You still look out for me! *sniff* and Boi - for helping me with what he knows best Money!

To my Maid of Honour - PB! Thankoo for being the bestest sister and maid of honour in the world! I couldn’t have pulled together this monster event without you or get out of my dresses! It has been amazing journey of sisterhood and I’m so glad you were always there to help me out of my many scrapes!

To those who were wondering, yes, she’s the photographer behind the cover of our CD cover and all green dress photos! Pee Bee Productions! Thanks for impersonating me during the cocktails! Teehee…

And finally, to J - without whom the dinner obviously would not have happened! :) Thanks for putting up with my many Bridezilla moments and for steadily plodding through the preparations. I think you were the most hands-on Groom I’ve met! Thank you for the wonderful surprise…it was one of the most beautiful moments of the night and I look forward to life together with you because the best is yet to come! :) Just “Two Words” - I Do.

Thank you all. It was a night I will remember for the rest of my life

P/S If you’re wondering why my ticker says another 10 days to go, that’s because our dinner on 23 November was what we fondly call our “Trial Run” before our Actual Day on 6 December! Tee hee…
