It’s finally here, the much awaited and most auspicious Chinese date that comes only once every century! A record number of couples will be doing their marriage registration today to take advantage of the 08-08-08 marriage registration date and places for registration have been closed very early on in the year!

Congratulations to those who are registering their marriage today! It’s a good reason to knock your husband’s head in the future if he ever forgets your anniversary as it coincides with the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics, the biggest sporting event in the world!

Me? I’m going to be holed up at home at 08:08pm on 08-08-08 to catch the opening ceremony of the 08-08-08 Olympics!
