Wedding Gowns - Carven Ong Couture

I was walking around in Lot 10 Shopping Centre this evening when I found myself on the highest floor where most of the designer boutiques are located. I was surprised to see Carven Ong Couture & Wedding Gown Specialist there and couldn’t help walking in to take a look at what he had. I had heard quite a lot about his gowns and Carven Ong seems to be rather popular amongst the local celebrities.

This boutique had a row of wedding gowns in the front and about two rows of evening gowns in all shades and colours towards the back. Most of his wedding gowns came in varying shades of ivory, white and champagne to suit any bride. The Sales Assistant who attended to us was quite friendly and really nice in allowing me to try on some of the gowns.

Sis and Mom picked out an absolutely gorgeous evening gown that I loved the minute I tried it on. Done in organza with a satin underlay, it was really beautiful and made me feel really elegant! Unfortunately it was model sized which meant that I had a lot of trouble buttoning and zipping it up! For a minute I panicked, thinking I must have put on lots of weight until I was told that it was a model size! Whew! Thank goodness That was one dress I’ll definitely keep in mind!

I also tried on 2 different wedding gowns. One is almost what I had in mind for my own while the other was a gorgeous confection in an amazingly huge skirt! It felt like I was wearing Princess Diana’s wedding gown! The top was rather sweet with cute little straps and a tight bodice which fell to yards and yards of skirt which gathered and pooled at my feet. It looked nice but was really difficult to walk in! The length and weight was something I doubt I would be able to manage for a full day! It was a real fairy tale wedding gown and for a moment, I felt just like Cinderella!
