Wedding Photographer
Wedding PhotographersI love looking at beautiful photographs.
So way before I had any inkling of getting married, I used to surf by wedding photography sites just to look at their gorgeous photos. From them, I’ve learnt that while it takes a beautiful couple to make gorgeous wedding photos, it takes an even better photographer to make an average couple look like the most beautiful people on their wedding day. Of course, that was way before I realised that good photographers come with a hefty price tag which can go all the way up to RM10,000 just for a day’s work! Naturally, at that time, I didn’t know planning weddings could rack up such a shocking budget too!
So when J popped the question, one of the first things we did that very night till about 3am was to look at photographers we could try to shortlist. Sadly, almost 3 months later, we are still at that stage of trying to finalise our photographers!
Honestly, I haven’t been able to find many local photographers with that “OOMPH” factor. Their photos don’t take your breath away, leave you misty-eyed and melting like some of the photos I’ve seen by world renowned wedding photographers such as Dennis Reggie or Jessica Claire. However, to be fair, local wedding photography has come a long way with some outstanding and international names such as KidChan and Louis Pang emerging. Unfortunately, those don’t quite fit into my budget!
So while my quest for the perfect photographer within my budget continues, I will be sharing with you some of my experiences and opinions on some photographers I’ve met in the next few posts. Stay tuned! *click click*

Trust me, you’d wanna invest in a good photographer for your big day. Mine was a friend of my parents, and also the in-laws, and I wasn’t happy with the shots at all.
Good luck!

I thought the photographer in KL didn’t seem too bad. I’ve narrowed down a few in mind but it’s hard to choose especially when I’m working with a limited budget too!
i am a grant corban’s fan …
i love his work.
read my post about his work: http://fhnuc.wordpress.com/2007/05/04/our-felicity-wedding-ii-the-photographer/
a great photographer’s work may come with a pricier price tag, but it is definitely worth it. wedding day itself is short and will go by fast. the only way to capture it well, is through lens of a great photographer.
PE says: Hi Greenapple, thanks for dropping by!
I do like Grant Corban’s works too but unfortunately he’s a bit beyond my budget. As much as I would love to engage a top of the range photographer, my budget’s stretching only so far!
