Traveling For Work
MarriageMy DH is a very frequent traveler from the time I first knew him. His job is an exciting one that takes him to some of the most interesting places in the world, including Siberia!
People used to ask me if I find his traveling odd now that we’re married. Strangely, I don’t. Maybe because he always goes to civilised places where we are always easily in touch with each other via phone calls and smses. I might feel very differently if he goes to some obscure location where I can only reach him via satellite radios!
But now it seems like his travels may take a back seat as I can forsee some changes in our lives (no, its not a new addition!). Hopefully, it still means we can continue with our personal travel plans!
I Want To Go To Egypt!

I’ve always wanted to visit Egypt, to see the great pyramids of Giza, the Spinx and ride a smelly camel through the desert.
Its so ironical then that I can’t follow DH on his trip there because of work! *cries* He even offered me his frequent flier points! 
Who knows when I’ll ever get a chance to go again. Don’t you sometimes wish you can just leave work and enjoy life a little?
Enjoying Me-Time In Marriage

DH is off again on his trips (I so wanted to follow him!) and I find that I turn into a book junkie when he’s away, perhaps due to the lack of someone to bug at home!
I’ve always loved reading and it is always nice to enjoy my own time huddled under the blankets with the reading light on. I recently started on a book featuring diaries of a young Vietnamese girl during the Vietnam War but stopped after a while when I found it a little too disturbing for bedtime reading. So now I’m reading a more sedate book about Mesothelioma lawyers instead!
So, wives, don’t fret too much about being alone if your husband travels. Use and enjoy that me-time doing what you love! 
Obsessed With House Cleaning

I don’t know why but I’ve become slightly obsessed about cleaning the house. I can’t stand to see and feel the dirt under my feet and oh the many hairs that litter the floor! I must be like a cat - shedding so much hair! Its amazing that I’m not bald!
Luckily the unit is a relatively smaller place to clean. I remember cleaning our old double-story house. It used to take hours just to mop and sweep it. Our untidy yard with its faded patio furniture covers always made our house look like an abandoned home!
Give me condo life any other day!
